a gathering of good stuff

All week, I’ve been having the urge to call everyone Sweet Pea. So happy Friday, Sweet Peas. Here’s some good stuff I’ve come across this week.

. . .

I’ve been thinking a lot about trust lately. We have a whole class on it in ICA, so that’s probably why. This post from Victoria Brouhard is in-depth and talks about trust in a refreshing way.

Kelly at Copylicious gives us introverts some insanely useful advice with “An Introvert’s Guide to Spontaneous Departures”. The crowd goes wild.

Cats in hats. I do not know what to think about this. I don’t think these felines are too pleased with their attire, though.

Jen had a great piece in The Frisky about love, body stuff, and knowing you’re worthy.

I don’t know why it took me so long to become obsessed with Naomi Dunford. I’ve been reading her off and on for a while, but the frightening obsession finally took hold this week. Here, she talks about what the heck we should tweet about, and the weirdness of “useful tips”.

J. Maureen Henderson works wonders with words. She’s also smartly critical, so she brings me down to Earth when I start to get a little too hippie about things. She recently wrote a fantastic piece about self-denial in relation to food and dieting. It’s good. Read it.

My very favorite creative career coach, Michelle Ward, has a booming coaching practice these days. I’m so happy for her. And here are the secrets to her success. Not so secret anymore, eh?

Danielle LaPorte tells us The Law of the Ugly Chair for Bindu Wiles’ Shed Project. Herein she states that “possibility requires space to unfold.” Wise.

Elizabeth recently started an Etsy shop. Her photographs are subtle and powerful all at once. I could look at them all day long.

And in closing, Jane Lynch was on Ellen. It was a beautiful, beautiful thing.

. . .

And now. Have a lovely weekend!

Awwww. Thanks for the mention! (I have a tendency to want to call everyone sweetie. Which is funny when I meet someone with a child and a dog, because I tend to call both children and dogs “sweetie” and it can get confusing.)

By the way, I love this photo.

Elizabeth: Any time! That’s the thing with those affectionate terms; you just can’t resist calling everyone by them. I think it’s worth the confusion for the endearment they convey. That’s my stance for now.
